Consolidated Industries, Inc. has been in the aerospace forging business for over 60 years. Our 86,500 square foot manufacturing facility is located on 15.3 acres of land in Cheshire, Connecticut.
We primarily produce impression or "closed-die" forgings in most metals for the commercial and military helicopter and aircraft markets. We also manufacture forgings that are used on military missile programs. More recently we have diversified our business and now produce land-based turbine components, specialty automotive and truck components, and other varied forgings in difficult applications for customers in niche commercial markets.
Our typical forgings range from ounces to 100 pounds and our production rates vary any where from small 6 piece batches to over rates resulting in shipments of over 100,000 units per year.
We are a union shop with total of 85 employees. Sales in 2009 are expected to be over $25 million. We are ISO 9001:2000, AS9100 Rev A Section 1, NADCAP approved for the MPI, FPI, USI, Heat Treat, and Met Lab processes.
We are committed to Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing process deployment throughout our shop. We encourage our Customers to allow us to participate in the development and design of their application to help reduce cost and shorten lead times.
